Rarely anywhere in the world has a unique cultural life like in Singapore. The intersection of major cultures such as China, India, and Malaysia creates a very characteristic appearance for the lion island nation.
In this review, I just shortlist the key tips for small budget travelers, as I do, :D.
A 5-day 4-night tour in this beautiful island nation will just cost between 400-700 USD.
Hotel fee: 90USD/4 night.
Meal: 110USD/whole trip. Approximately 11USD/meal.
Moving fee: 22USD
Singapore hotels are one of the most expensive hotels in the world. However, you can also find cheap motels from 18 USD to 31 USD per night. If you want to save more, you can also stay in the dorm room (dormitory of 6-10 people). You can find cheap rooms in 3 areas: Chinatown, Little India and the Arab area (Kampong Glam).
Food in Singapore is not too expensive. On average, each day you spend about 22 USD for food, so you need to prepare about 110 USD more. Here you can find dishes of Chinese, Malay, and Indians.
In Singapore, there are 3 basic modes of transportation: bus, MRT (subway) and taxi. Taxi is the fastest but also the most expensive means of transportation in Singapore. Almost every popular destination here has a passing MRT, which is also the cheapest and most popular means of transportation in Singapore.
To use MRT, you can buy tickets every time you go or buy EZ Card to use it many times. However, if you plan to stay in Singapore for 4-5 days and travel a lot (both bus and MRT) you should buy EZ Link card. This card is sold at all Passenger Service counters for about $12, of which the card value is $5 and the usable amount of the card is $ 7.
You guys can come to Singapore year-round but the best time to travel is from February to April. June will be the time of the shopping fans. Many products are discounted by 90%.
